After starting her tertiary education with Economics and Law, she turned her focus to property and completed a BSc (Honours) at UCT. Nina's interest in property valuations was reaffirmed after doing some vocational work for CBRE during her studies which led her to register as a Candidate Valuer in 2010. Nina officially joined Steer & Co in 2009 as portfolio manager of the single-owned blocks of flats portfolio, managing over ninety buildings and became a Member of the company in 2012. In conjunction with this asset management role Nina completed the necessary exams and valuations to register as a Professional Valuer in 2016. After matriculating, she returned to Cape Town to study a BSc (Honours) in Property Studies at UCT, where she went on to achieve distinctions for both degrees. Teresa has spent her career in the residential and commercial property industry in Cape Town since graduating with experience in property investment, management and development. Most recently, Teresa started her own property management company and in just over 2 years grew the portfolio of managed properties (both residential and commercial) substantially. In early 2017 this was merged into Steer & Co's investment portfolio and Teresa joined the company as portfolio manager of the "single-units" residential portfolio. Teresa simultaneously became a Member of Steer & Co. When she isn't "thinking property", she's dreaming of a beach run in Betty's Bay.
